Radio Frequencies (RF) at 2437MHz allow signals to travel through objects like walls and furniture. Unlike common infrared (IR) remotes, RF remotes don’t need to be aimed at the receiving device. That’s why the latest Allcam ECM500-series Electric Ceiling Mount TV Brackets come with RF remotes.
Please note that there have been two major upgrades to the Allcam ECM500-series, and each upgrade leads to a different remote control:
- For the latest models from 2023 (ECM522A, ECM544A, ECM546A), the compatible remote is RMT-03-JS.
- For the models between 2020 and 2022 (ECM522, ECM544, ECM546), the compatible remote is RMT-02-PJ. This remote also compatible with the Allcam EFS66L TV lift.
- For even older models pre-2020, the compatible Infra-red remote control is no longer available.
Keep in mind that the upgrades are internal, with no change to the outer appearance compared to previous versions. So it is almost impossible to judge the version from the appearance of your electric TV bracket.
