Many old cars only have one cigarette lighter socket, but nowadays we have so many devices that need power and charging, so we need car power socket 1-to-2 splitters. Essentially, it consists of a 15A-fused plug that goes into your car’s 12-volt port. From there, it breaks into two wires, each with a barrel-like socket at the end. If you need 3 or more sockets, you can simply buy 2 or more of these 1-to-2 splitters, then plug the 2nd/ 3rd splitter into the barrel socket of the 1st one.
Perhaps the most critical feature of any cigarette lighter splitter is the part that plugs into your vehicle’s built-in cigarette lighter socket. It is also easy to change the fuse later, just twist the front metal ring to unscrew it from the plug. The fuse protects your devices from excessive amperage and voltage.
The car socket splitter relays the electrical current through to the two outlets where you place your devices. If you need more outlets, simply buy a few more of the same splitter to plug into the first one.
