Description
Allcam GDF12W standing desk helps reduce your sitting hours and maintain a healthier working habit. The heavy-duty steel frame makes the standing desk as stable as a normal office desk. The pneumatic gas spring makes the height adjustment smooth and effortless. The gas spring standing desk is much easier to adjust than a cranking desk, and much cheaper than an electric desk, offering you the best of both worlds.
Customise with your own worktop
The GDF12W standing desk frame measures 1316×575 mm at the top, meaning you can customize your own sit-stand desk with any top with width of 1300-1600 mm and depth of 600-800 mm. Allcam also supply commercial grade worktop of various colours and sizes.
Folding legs – quicker to install, move and store.
Mechanically linked legs to guarantee synchronised height adjustment.
*Note on lifting capacity
The Pneumatic gas spring mechanism has an effective lifting capacity of 15 kg. The actual gas lifting force is 31 kg, then deduct the weight of the desktop (assuming it is 16 kg), we can get the effective lifting power: 31 – 16 = 15 kg. So if your worktop weights only 7 kg (like the IKE* Linmo*), the effective lifting power will be: 31 – 7 = 24 kg.
FAQ: What happens if the load on the desktop is more than 15 kg (or the effective lifting capacity)?
A: If the load is over 15 kg (or the effective lifting capacity), say 18 kg, you will need to use your hand to lift 3 kg in order for the desk to move higher (when you pull the lever), but the desk will drop on its own (when you pull the lever).
If the load is less than 15 kg (or the effective lifting capacity), say 10 kg, you will need to bend forward to apply 5 kg of your bodyweight on the desktop in order for the desk to move down (when you pull the lever), but the desk will rise on its own (when you pull the lever).
Invest in your own healthy
Scientists estimate that reducing your sitting time to less than 3 hours a day could increase your life expectancy by 2 years. It is highly recommended you take a break or switch to standing position after sitting for 2 hours or more. Several studies also show lower back pain is becoming a common problem for people sitting over 4 hours per day. By switching to standing regularly, you will be focusing on your work more, extending your life expectancy and alleviating lower back pain.
