These Philips 6W dimmable LED light bulbs provide a beautiful warm white light, which becomes warmer as the bulb is dimmed to aide a cosy feeling. Using the standard E14 Small Edison Screw (SES) cap, with its efficiency and a pure and elegant design, this LED is the ideal replacement for your old SES dimmable bulb.

The Philips Dimmable LED golf ball bulb uses super-efficient LEDs emitting 470 lumens of light- equivalent to a traditional 40W Halogen/Incandescent bulb, saving you loads each year in electricity. Their 25,000 hour life span means they barely ever need replacing too.

Since LED bulbs consume 90% less electricity than traditional halogen and incandescent bulbs, some old dimmers can't detect their presence.

Will this Dimmable LED light work with my old dimmer?
Most likely. Please note: not all dimmers work properly with dimmable LED bulbs. Traditional dimmer switches require a certain amount of electric current passing through to operate. Since LED bulbs consume 90% less electricity than traditional halogen and incandescent bulbs, some old dimmers can't detect their presence. You can either upgrade the dimmer to a LED-compatible one, or leave at least one halogen bulb in the same circuit along with LED bulbs.

Can I use dimmable LED bulbs under a normal switch?
