USB2.0 cards review ( Model: Y-853, USBPCMCIA)

1. NEC USB2.0 PCI card installation and data speed by David on Nov, 2002

I love this card when I see the shining black color, it tells me it is a high quality card!

Installation is of a little bit trouble though, I found there is two driver files in the floppy disk, and both them are not mentioned in the User Manual, and the installation file mentioned in the manual is not in the disk. I choosed "U2V2_08" since this seems to be the newer version, after restarting the computer, the Windows XP auto detect the new hardware and install the related driver, all sucessfully without any further problem.

The good point of this card is its' speed. My USB2.0 portable hard drive previous takes 75 miniutes to backup 3GB of data via the USB1.1 port of my computer, now with the help of NEC USB2.0 PCI card, it finish in 3 miniutes!
