I have just received some of these to add the extra reach to my three monitor setup. They are very strong and more than adequate to support my 27" iMac.
These arm sections are 280mm (11 inches) compared to the standard arm sections which are 190mm and 130mm.
For a multi monitor setup this is a great solution.
