The Xacti VPC-HD800 is the latest 720p HD camera/camcorder from Sanyo. The Sanyo HD800 HD camera sports a compact and light-weight body, and easily saves data onto SD/SDHC memory cards for convenience. The Xacti HD800 will take stills and videos used on a personal computer or for the Web, houses a new three-dimensional digital noise reduction (3DDNR) filter, and adds the ‘Face Chaser’ for both stills and videos with an active scanner visible on the monitor.

The majour improvement over the previous Sanyo HD700 is the huge improvement in video quality. With the new CMOS sensor and new 3DDNR image engine, Sany managed huge reduction in noise level which make the new Sanyo HD800 is by far the affordable HD compact camera killer.
