Brief
History In Christmas of 2001, Zhu purchased a new laptop for
his then girl friend Susanne, and Susanne gave him the old laptop to sell to the
student of University of Nottingham. Zhu posted one A4 sized poster at
the George Green Library ( of University
of Nottingham), and received more than 20 inquiries from students.
Zhu realized that there is a huge demand for mobile computing and
mobile entertainment products, and he acted very quickly.
- In 04/2002, Allcam Mobile Products Limited was
registered, Zhu and Susanne are the two directors of the company,
at the same time, Zhu and Susanne got married;
- In 06/2002, launched the website www.allcam.biz;
- In 06/2002, Allcam introduced external storage products based
on USB 2.0 and Firewire technology, such as portable
hard drive , external
hard drive, and external
DVD burner in UK, this step is well ahead of many storage
specialist such as Maxtor and Iomeage;
- In 08/2002, shopping cart was integrated into the website, customer
can from then on make order online; at the same time more products
centered around portable data storage were introduced;
- In 09/2002, Allcam website www.allcam.biz
was listed by Google, MSN,
Looksmart and many other
main search engines and directory;
- In 10/2002, Dr Rabah became the third director of the company;
- In 10/2002, Allcam became the first company in UK to introduce
portable TV
& TFT LCD monitor 2 in 1 products, this makes Allcam also
stepping into mobile entertainment market;
- In 11/2002, Allcam once again the first company in UK to introduce
portable DVD
player TV TFT LCD monitor 3 in 1 products, the market response
was overwhelming;
- In 12/2002, Allcam became the official supplier of external
data storage products of University of Nottingham;
- In 02/2003, Allcam once again the first company in UK to introduce
portable MP3
player, digital voice reorder, FM radio, external data storage
4 in 1 products, and the market response was again overwhelming;
- In 10/2003, Allcam introduced the first portable LCD
touch screen monitor which can take input from PC (VGA) and
video such as camcorder;
- In 10/2003, Allcam introduced the first portable
DVD player with TV and game;
- In 12/2003, Allcam is the first company in UK to bring the 8"
LCD portable DVD player under £300;
- In 04/2004, Allcam is again the first company in UK to introduce
the USB On-The-Go (OTG) technology technology to UK consumers,
in 10/2004, Advance Micro Devices
(AMD, the CPU manufacturer) made an order for our OTG products.
- In 04/2005, Toyota Europe became a client of our innovative
LCD display with touch
screen facility. Prior to this, O2, Orange, and T-mobile have
made several orders for this product with Allcam.
- In 05/2005, Allcam becomes the only sponsor of the CSSA foot
ball team of University of Nottingham
- In 06/2005, Allcam sponsored the team of Richard Birch for their
charity drive from London to Mongolia (Team
Mongolian Job)
- In 07/2005, Allcam launched the first 100
GB 7" portable media player in UK, which even comes with
TV builtin!
We believe as the world is becoming smaller and people becoming
busier, demanding for mobile computing & mobile entertainment
products are increasing , we just need to provide suitable priced
products to fill in this gap, on the other hand, we are trying to
integrate more favorite functions into the same device, so that
people can not only enjoy higher value for their money, but also
significantly reduce the weight of their luggage.
We
fully acknowledge the customer's right to know our products, and the technology
behind, and also their right to exchange their views regarding the technology
and the products, we set up a user
forum on 20 April, 2003, any people can read the message on the BBS and post
their comment ( require simple registration).
Nowadays consumers are almost driven by commercial advertisement,
it is not easy to find the right information and the right products
for their need. Google's search engine technology focused on quality
information instead of their own financial gains, and they became
the most favorite and the dominant search engine in the world.

My Screen on my Shinco 6820 failed after 2 months. I emailed
Allcam at 7.15pm and got a response at 10.30pm same day giving
details of where to send the equipment. The equipment was received
by Allcam repaired the same day and dispatched back to me on the
same day. Excellent service from a company that obviously cares
about its customers. Vary rare these days.

When buying over the internet, I have always been concerned about
what will happen if I need to return the item purchased for repair
or replacement under warranty. This is the first time I have had
to do this and so expected the worst but boy was I wrong to do
so. I followed the process you describe on your site and then
sent the item to you as instructed on Tuesday last week. I could
not believe it when the replacement turned up at my home on the
Thursday. I am extreemly impressed by the efficiency of your service.
